RHETORICAL QUESTION

         RHETORICAL QUESTION

  

🔴  Rhetorical question means such a question to which answer is not required.


🔴  Used by speaker to make a forceful statement.


🔴  When question is negative,

statement is positive

And when question is positive, statement is negative.


Examples :

1. Is that fair? 

( Rewrite as a statement )

➡️  That is not fair.


2. It is not wise to quarrel on the festive day.

            ( Make it rhetorical)

➡️  Is it wise to quarrel on the festive day?


3. Happiness can not be bought with cash.

(  Make it rhetorical)


➡️  Can happiness be bought with cash?


4. It sounded like a lot of fun.

   ( Make it rhetorical )


➡️  Didn't it sound like a lot of fun?


5. No one would read it.

    ( Make it rhetorical )


➡️  Would anyone read it?


6. How could I call  him only a half?

         ( Rewrite as an Assertive )

➡️  I could not call him only a half.


7. I can not use your telephone without your permission.

(  Make it rhetorical )

➡️  How can I use your telephone without your permission?
